On May 13 and 14, 2011, we had the pleasure of welcoming back Mr. Agostino “Augie” Ferron from EURO SYSTEMS AUTOMOTIVE TRAINING INC. The training consisted of Controller Area Networks for Volkswagens, Audis and BMWs for 1998 through 2011 models. Over 13 technicians attended from the surrounding counties and even a few from Maryland. The hands on experience increased the technicians’ knowledge and gave them critical information that in turn helps diagnose problems in customers’ cars faster and more efficiently. We believe in continuing the education of our technicians and making them experts in their fields.
On May 7, 2011, European Cars of Williamsburg attended the “Second Annual 2011 Project Lifesaver Car Show” hosted by the James City County Police Department and the Classic Cruisers Car Club. “Project Lifesaver” is a program that uses radio transmitters to to track clients with Alzheimer’s and related disorders. The program’s motto is “Bringing Loved Ones Home.” This is a free service offered through the Police Department and has helped track down many lives. Also, canned foods were collected for the Salvation Army Food Bank and were used to “Stuff the Cruiser.” There were also awards given for the Top 35 and People’s Choice. We wish the sponsors and program the best and hope next year’s show proves to be even more successful than this year’s!
Gus and Marina set sail on WORLDPAC‘s 4th customer cruise event in early March and traveled to Cozumel, Costa Rica and Panama. WORLDPAC is European Cars’ distributor of OE parts. The cruise “provided customers with a chance to get together with other premiere service repair professionals in North America, industry leading manufacturers and the WORLDPAC team. Customers attended the event from 45 states within the US including Canada and Puerto Rico. Over 1200 WORLDPAC customers and special guests joined an elite group of suppliers and WORLDPAC’s top management and sales staff for an unforgettable experience.” The cruise was a great experience and Gus and Marina enjoyed meeting their fellow WORLDPAC-ers.
